Through my Etsy store, I was approached by a company who were looking for someone to design, print and build some custom trophies for an event they had lined up.

I worked closely with the client during the process, going back and forth on a few concepts and adjustments to the design. These included replicating one of the clients products as closely as possible, matching the company branding and also exploring ways of building in added weight to each trophy so that they felt robust and mimicked an award made from a more dense material than PLA.

I was very happy with the final design and so was the client. It met all of the points of the brief, it was designed to be easy to print (almost completely free of supports) and also easy to assemble, with the process being repeatable across the six trophies that were requested. No permanent fixing methods were used in these trophies so if they needed to be taken apart for disposal then that is simple to do.
