React was the result of a year’s work in my final year of my Product Design degree. The product is a physical activity game which aims to help children between the ages of 13 and 15 who come from low income households to be more active.

Based off the research that I conducted over the year through studies that had been conducted by Sport England or from consulting with industry experts, I established that the game needed to be simple, accessible and repeatable in order to have the most benefit.

Across the year I went through the full design process from concept through to manufacturing feasibility, with the final outcome in the form of a dissertation and a physical prototype which I made myself over the course of 2 weeks in the University workshops. These were displayed at the summer degree show where the public and industry experts came to view the work of the cohort.
